It is just minutes walk to Wicklow harbour town centre and all cafes restaurants pubs & Wicklow s Historic Gaol. We offer a delicious breakfast each morning and provide tea and coffee making facilities. Parking is on street and payment is required from 9.00a.m to 6.00p.m. Monday to Saturday. From hiking angling surfing mountain trail biking kayaking to horse riding polo and more gentle pursuits like golf chatty walks and paddling at Brittas Bay. Wicklow Town is located just north of several sandy beaches and just south of a wildlife nature reserve to the west we have our glorious Wicklow Mountains National Park and Glendalough s ancient monastic settlement. Add to that the fabulous gardens that abound in this the Garden County and the top Irish golf links courses Wicklow GC Arklow Links and Druid s Glen and you can see why we are so passionate to have you stay. br / br / br / br / About Captain Robert Halpin br / br / We are very proud of our connection to Wicklow s hero of Telegrapy. Captain Halpin was the master navigator of that time. Inspired by the great engineering genius Isembard Kingdom Brunel Captain Halpin laid the first oceanic network of cables in the world. He was recognised at home and abroad for his great achievment. In recognition of his talent Queen Victoria awarded Mr Cable lands north of Wicklow where he built Tinakilly House. While waiting for it to be completed he lived here in Haplin s Town House.
