The hamlet takes its name from the church dedicated to the local patron saint. The village itself consists of simple, white-walled homes, grouped on the promontory overlooking the small harbour. From the top of the cliffs, you can see the Rock of Vervece, the centre of the boat procession to Santa Maria Assunta every 15th August.You are spoilt for choice when looking to explore the local area. The big attractions of Pompeii and Herculaneum are an easy day trip, and you should not miss exploring Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. A truly spectacular place to admire one of Italy's most beautiful coastlines.Perfect for a group of friends, or family, the beautifully-restored property has quite an unusual layout, ensuring that each room has access to the spectacular view.You arrive by walking through a blue door directly onto the large terraced area. Blue-tiled, the terrace almost feels part of the skies above and the lapping waters below. There is ample space for a table and chairs, offering al fresco dining with a breath-taking vista. Shade is provided by a large striped awning, or you can soak up rays on one of the sun-loungers.As you stand on the Terrace, facing the sea, the larger part of the property lies to your right, with an additional accommodation area to your left.Entering the property to your right, you arrive into the living room. There is a comfortable sofa, convertible to a sofa bed if additional space is needed. Two armchairs give cosy space to chill out in front of the large television.You then move through a short passage, passing a small bathroom, with an enclosed shower.From here, you enter the kitchen. This is a lovely space in which to rustle up a quick breakfast, or a make a leisurely evening meal. With the working area designed in a U-shape, and the gas hob on the peninsula, the chef can easily socialise, as friends sit and chat on the bar stools.Traditionally styled, the kitchen has all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher, microwave, oven and kettle.Two sets of double French doors lead onto the wrap-around terrace outside, letting fresh air and light flood inside.If you need to control the temperature of the property during the coolest or warmest months of the year, there is efficient air conditioning throughout, plus gas central heating.From the kitchen, stairs lead up to the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. This is truly a spectacular place to rest, sleep and arise. There are two sets of double French doors, opening onto a stunning arched balcony. The sea view is perfectly framed before your eyes. The double bed has a lovely curved wooden headboard and bedside tables, and crisp white linen. The en suite bathroom has a large shower cubicle and stylish design and fittings.From the landing outside the bedroom, a staircase leads up to a rooftop sun terrace, with sun beds and an outdoor shower.Moving back to the terrace, you can then explore the separate accommodation wing on the left.3 steps lead to a walkway, concealed by an attractive opaque glass screen. Behind here is a parking space for one car.From here, a long corridor leads to two further double bedrooms and a third bathroom.Both bedrooms offer a comfortable double bed, plus plenty of wardrobe space. The views from each are simply wonderful, with wall-to-wall windows offering an unhindered view of the bay.The bathroom has an enclosed shower, large washbasin and plenty of space. There is also a laundry room with washing machine if required.Important things to know- Rates are based on 6 guests; add 40, 00 Euros per night, per additional guest- Tourist Tax: 2,00 Euros per person per day for the first 7 nights, from 1st April until 31st October.
