Both Nijo-jo Castle and To-ji Temple are only a 10-minute bicycle ride from the house.The Matsubara Kyogoku Shopping Street where the locals do their daily shopping is also within a 5-minute walk from the property. Guests can enjoy walking around the district or stop by at a Japanese sweet or tea shop for a rest. An okonomoiyaki restaurant is also in the area for a sumptuous meal.
