The 1 star Barbara Hotel is a good and basic hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has a fantastic central location, only two minutes walk from La Ramblas and the Gothic quarter. This central location is also in Barcelona's 'red light' district and we would therefore not be recommended the hotel for family use. The building is dating from 1920 maintaining the traditional arquitecture of that time. The facade is well preserved. The hotel is an ideal base to discover one of Europe's most vibrant cities with lots of sightseeing to do, a vibrant nightlife and many restaurants.
