We recommend this method of travel. Alternatively boats to Koh Tao can also be boarded at the city of Chumphon which can be reached easily by bus minibus or train from other locations in Thailand. From Chumphon and Koh Samui there are two boat companies with two daily services each to and from Koh Tao : 1 Lomprayah High Speed Catamaran at www.lomprayah.com 2 Seatran Discovery at www.seatrandiscovery.com The trip from both locations takes approximately two hours.
