Our Cockermouth hotel is on the edge of the Lake District close to all the sights of Cockermouth including the traditional Jennings Brewery where you can go on tours and tastings and Wordsworth House - birthplace of the poet. There s plenty of top entertainment at the Kirkgate Centre or if you prefer the great outdoors head into the the Lakes to see some Britain s most stunning scenery at spots such as Crummock Water Coniston and Buttermere. All rooms feature a comfy king size bed with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet. Our on-site restaurant and bar serves breakfast and tasty evening meals. Leave the M6 motorway at Penrith Junction 40. Follow the A66 for approximately 30 miles heading for Cockermouth at the roundabout take the 4th exit for Cockermouth A5086. Drive approximately 100 yards passing an ESSO garage on the left and turn left. Continue up the hill past the police station. Travelodge is at the top of the hill. Parking details Travelodge car park is free of charge and available on a first-come first-served basis. There are 45 spaces.
