Many places of historical interest are also close by including Culloden Battlefield Cawdor Castle and of course Loch Ness Skye and John O Groats can also make a great day out as can Balmoral the Queen s Summer residence. br / br / br / br / Tomatin is midway between the skiing centre of Aviemore and the City of Inverness capital of Highlands. An ideal base for exploring this most beautiful part of the UK. There is also our guesthouse residents lounge - the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the local area of Tomatin and Inverness. The guesthouse dining room is where you will be treated to a traditional breakfast and also an evening meal if you wish. There is also storage available for cycles.
A9 - Road: Turn off A9 at junction for Tomatin. Follow the road to the entrance to Tomatin Distillery (signposted Distillery Visitor Centre). Enter distillery drive. Proceed up hill under railway bridge. Where road divides take right hand fork and proceed up a short hill. At the top of the hill turn right and Glenan Lodge is the second house on the left immediately after a cattle grid.
