Surrounded by tropical gardens, with a private Pool/ac.Gardenia Gardens is a one Bed/ac/pool cottage set in a lush tropical garden.It's located in the rice fields of Penestanan, a short walk up from the main road and along a narrow path. Our location ensures privacy and quiet, away from the traffic and insanity of downtown Ubud, but close enough to walk there inminutes, or take a car or bike to town. Gardenia is a wonderful self-contained bungalow with everything you need for a relaxing visit. It has a king-sized bed, good quality bed linen and towels, air con, a garden bathroom with shower, sun loungers, private pool, walled garden, Tv/dvd player and a fully equipped kitchen. Our housekeepers come by daily to clean and cook breakfast (thought by many to be the best in Ubud), with a choice of eggs, french toast, mie goreng (Indonesian noodles), pancakes, black rice pudding, and of course our artisan breads, homemade jams, yoghurt, and tropical fruits. Our staff speaks excellent English and can help you with reservations, places to visit, transportation and other questions you may have.We live in the best neighborhood in Ubud with many restaurants, yoga studios, galleries, clothing shops, and a great supermarket a stones throw away. It's a little bit off the beaten path, but many people like it that way. Walk out your front door and turn right and you'll find yourself in the middle of the rice fields, surrounded by ducks and old men in straw hats working the land. Walk down to the main road, and drivers will be waiting in front of Bintang market for your business. We also have a couple of very reliable drivers who speak English well and are available for airport transportation and touring. We have been renting our houses through Air Bnb for 5 years and its been a great experience for both us and our guests. Gardenia has been furnished to the same standards of all our houses, and you will be treated as family by our staff......and have the opportunity for a really unique Bali experience.Guests will have access to all amenities including full use of the kitchen for additional meals.Many local restaurants will deliver food and organic gardens can deliver produce.We live very close by, and will come over to welcome our guests and give them information about our neighborhood when we're in Bali. We or our Housekeeper Made Pia can also provide information, recommendations and make reservations for tours, transportation, cooking classes, baby sitters etc.Our neighborhood is becoming very popular and has many new restaurants, art galleries, spas, and yoga studios opening all the time. It has become a magnet for people wanting to visit Ubud, but not wanting to be in the midst of the madness.Everything is within walking distance....if you like to walk. Otherwise there are always car and motor bike drivers available to take you to Ubud central for a nominal fee.We are located up 10 steps and about 150 meters along the path. This house is not accessible by car or bike and is not appropriate for people with limited abilities to walk.
